How to access Google Photos?
- Open your web browser on your computer or mobile device.
- In the address bar, type “photos.google.com” and press “Enter”.
- If you are not logged in, enter your Google account with your email address and password.
- Once you have logged in, you will be on the main page of Google Photos, where you can see all your photos and albums.
How to change an album cover in Google Photos?
- On the Google Photos home page, click on the album you want to change the cover for.
- When the album is open, click on the three vertical dots icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
- In the drop down menu, select “Edit album”.
- On the next screen, Click on "Change cover".
- The photo selection window will open, where you can choose a new image for the album cover.
- Select the photo you want to use as the cover and click "OK".
- The selected image will be automatically saved as the new album cover.
Can I change the album cover from the Google Photos app on my phone?
- Open the Google Photos app on your phone or mobile device.
- Tap the album you want to change the cover for to open it.
- Once the album is open, tap the three vertical dots icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
- In the drop down menu, select “Edit album”.
- On the next screen, Tap “Change Cover”.
- You will be given the option to choose a photo from your gallery to set as new album cover.
- Select the image you want to use and confirm the selection.
- The selected photo will be saved as the new album cover.
What requirements must the image that I want to set as the album cover in Google Photos meet?
- The picture must have a high resolution to look good as an album cover.
- It is recommended that the image is in square format or with a 1:1 aspect ratio, so that it fits correctly as a cover.
- The photo should be in your Google Photos collection, since it is not possible to set an image that is not hosted on the platform as the cover.
- The picture must not infringe copyright nor contain inappropriate content.
Can I reverse the cover change and go back to the original image?
- If you want to return to the original image as the album cover, open the album in Google Photos.
- Click on the three vertical dots icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
