- Open your spreadsheet in Google Sheets.
- Select the cell(s) you want to lock the format.
- Click “Format” in the toolbar.
- Scroll down and select “Lock Format.”
- The format of the selected cells will be locked and will not be changed even if changes are applied to the format elsewhere in the spreadsheet.

- Open your spreadsheet in Google Sheets.
- Select the cell(s) whose format you want to unlock.
