Geoff Keighley ha anunciado la lista completa de nominados a The Game Awards, con todas las categorías ya confirmadas. La gala volverá a combinar premios y avances, y este año la atención recae especialmente en un puñado de títulos que concentran el grueso de las candidaturas.
Además del jurado internacional, el resultado final reserva un 10% a la votación del público, que puede emitirse desde la página oficial del evento. Para la audiencia en España y Europa, conviene apuntar los horarios, ya que la ceremonia se celebra en franja estadounidense y nos encontrará de madrugada.
Fecha, horario y dónde ver la gala
La ceremonia se celebrará el jueves 11 de diciembre en Estados Unidos, lo que en España y buena parte de Europa supone la madrugada del 12. La retransmisión arrancará alrededor de las 02:00h en horario peninsular, con pre-show, entrega de premios y anuncios durante varias horas. Podrá seguirse en los canales oficiales de The Game Awards en YouTube y Twitch, y, como novedad destacada, también estará disponible para suscriptores de Prime Video.
Quiénes lideran las nominaciones
El juego más nominado es Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, que alcanza 12 candidaturas y firma un registro histórico en los TGA. Tras él, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach y Ghost of Yōtei suman 7 nominaciones cada uno; Hades II figura con 6, Hollow Knight: Silksong con 5 y Split Fiction con 4.
Por editoras, Sony Interactive Entertainment encabeza el cómputo con 19 nominaciones, seguida por Kepler Interactive (13), Electronic Arts (10) y Microsoft (10). También aparecen con fuerza Sega (7), Supergiant Games (6) y Team Cherry (5), reflejando un año con presencia equilibrada de AAA e indies.

Cómo se vota y qué tener en cuenta
El sistema de votación asigna el 90% del peso al jurado internacional y el 10% al voto popular a través de la web oficial. Las votaciones estarán abiertas hasta última hora del día previo a la gala en horario de Estados Unidos, así que conviene no dejarlo para el final si votas desde Europa.
Sea cual sea tu categoría favorita, este año se prevé una competición particularmente reñida, con estudios de todos los tamaños disputándose los focos. En la retransmisión se alternarán premios con tráilers y actuaciones musicales, un formato que suele dejar titulares durante días en España y el resto de Europa.
